: A young prince from an eastern country comes to the Soviet pioneer camp, where he makes friends and changes his worldview. Having become king, he decides that the people of his country will live freely, as in the USSR.
In the pioneer camp "Spartak", located on the Black Sea coast, Prince Delihyar from the eastern country of Jungahora, the younger brother of the ruling king, should arrive. The camp leader wants to keep this a secret, but one of the pioneers hears his conversation. Having broken his promise not to tell anyone, the boy informs the guys about the upcoming visit. But this does not make an impression on the Soviet pioneers, they are free people and will not be written to anyone submitted. From the directory, the guys learn that Jungahora is a small agricultural country, which is a constitutional monarchy, and foreign capital dominates in it.
Accompanied by an ambassador, the prince arrives at the camp. The ambassador and the camp leader are childhood friends, and the ambassador explains the situation. The Jungahore is hosted by American and European capitalists. The king and his orphan brother grow up without parents. The king, a very gentle man, is afraid that his younger brother will be set against him.Despite the presence of capitalists in the country, the king wants to establish relations with the USSR, since the USSR is building a hydroelectric station in Jungahor. The situation in the country is tense: the capitalists are plotting against the Soviet representatives.
As a royal person, the prince is settled in the country, while the rest of the guys live in tents. Delihyar introduces the pioneers. The prince’s grandmother is from Russia, and he speaks good Russian. Growing up in a palace surrounded by servants, the prince does not understand Soviet schoolchildren, who have everything in common. The prince talks about the customs of his people, about a meeting with Yuri Gagarin.
Once between a prince and pioneers there is a fight. This is decided by Gelka Pafnulin, the son of the director of the consumer services factory, all the time bragging about the privileges that his father enjoys. He takes the side of the prince to receive a transistor as a gift, but the prince rejects it. Then Gelka insults Tony Pashukhina, the most athletic and fair among girls, reproaching her for being from an orphanage. The prince protects the girl, and friendship begins between the children. Gelka's mother demands that her son also be settled in the country, and he and Delhiyar will be swapped.
A resident of the Jungahora, the communist poet Tongaor, a fiery fighter with capitalist invaders arrives at the camp. The former king put the poet in a terrible solitary pit, and the unyielding revolutionary spent ten years there. They wanted to execute a fearless poet, but people from all over the world stood up for him, and Tongaora was expelled from the country. Now he is being treated in the USSR.Pioneers enthusiastically listen to Tongaor. Prince Delhiyar, on the contrary, is wary of his fellow countryman: Tongaor has been fighting against kings all his life.
Listening with the Soviet pioneers of Tangaor and harvesting with them, Delhiyar is gradually changing his worldview.
The day of departure is approaching. On the last line, the prince solemnly puts on a red tie. And then a coup takes place in the Jungahore. The king abdicates in favor of his younger brother. But Delhiyar is a minor, and his uncle becomes regent. In his country, Delhiyar decides to do everything for the good of the people, as in the USSR. The guys give him advice. The newly-made king wants Tonya to go with him, but the girl cannot leave her homeland. An ambassador from Jungahora arrives for the king and takes him out of the tent to the cottage. There, Delhiyar is locked up. The guys help him escape. They decide to consult with Tangaor. Tonya and Delhiyar go to the sanatorium, where the poet stopped, but Tangaor has already left. Delhiyar decides to go to the port and board his ship there, the captain of which is a friend of Tangaor, but the ship has already set sail from the shore. Tonya and Delhiyar jump into the boat and sail to the ship. But the ship has already left for the open sea, and the boat picks up the wet children and sends it to the hospital.
Recovering, Delhior learns that Tangaor has been arrested and sentenced to death, and the people are outraged by the new government. To pacify the rebellion, the new ruler released people from prisons, and Tangaora and his family were expelled from the country.
After recovering, the young king gives an interview before leaving. He promises that now he will not put anyone in prison, everyone will have elephants, and he will expel the capitalists from the country. He will award the head of the camp, counselor and Tonya with orders.
Upon arriving home, Delhiyar taught the minister to play the “wall” and decorated his apartments with photographs of Soviet cosmonauts. The king has failed to carry out other reforms so far.
