(229 words) Konstantin Simonov harshly and truthfully described the nightmare reality of war. Who, no matter how the participant in the battles at Khalkhin-Gol and the Great Patriotic War, the fearless eyewitness of that terrible period, can describe in detail the whole horror of the bloody massacre. His poems gave soldiers the strength of morale, and the current generation - a bitter historical memory. For example, the famous poem “Cities are burning along the way of these hordes” evokes a lot of emotions.
The poet in the work talked about how unbearable to live in those conditions. He reminded the brave soldiers that the Nazis had long lost their human image: “Is any of the people able / To torture the old man, pulling on a rope, / To force a mother in front of children? / Bury civilians alive. " These heartbreaking lines caused fury and anger among the defenders of our country. Simonov urges the fighters not to spare the enemy, but "to hit harder and harder every hour." He forbade pity for his beloved and asked not to be afraid of death. Because only soldiers can protect children, wives, mothers, sisters and the motherland. If the fighter surrendered, then he lost. In order to prevent the shame and death of all Soviet people, the poet through his poems conveyed the main instruction - not a step back.
The lyrical hero knows that he will not live to see the great day, Victory Day. But this does not frighten him, he fights to the last drop of blood, while still alive, challenges the fascists, promises that he will hit them with a “bayonet and shell”. And our hero defeats them, because he is not afraid of death, because “it’s better than death for the native land, and you can’t choose”.
